Neck Lift Surgery

Sculpting Elegance and Definition

Achieving a distinct jawline and a distinct transition between the face and neck is a desirable aesthetic appearance sought by many of our clients. Even at a younger age, the neck may lack definition, impacting facial harmony. Over time, the neck's appearance can further deteriorate due to increased skin laxity and bands.

Understanding Neck Lift Surgery

A neck lift is a surgical procedure to improve the contour of the neck and jawline. Neck Lifts can be performed as an isolated procedure, or in combination with a Facelift.

Neck Lift Surgery
What improvements can been seen with Neck Lift surgery?
  • Improved definition of the jawline and chin contour
  • Reduction in neck fullness
  • A more defined neck angle (cervicomental angle)
  • Decreased double chin appearance
  • Reduction of excess skin and fat
When is a Neck Lift performed as an isolated procedure (without a Facelift)?

There are two scenarios:

The first scenario is clients with skin laxity of the neck without jowls or sagging of the face. This scenario is uncommon since most individuals with neck laxity also have loose facial skin and some degree of jowling, which would require a Signature Deep Plane FaceliftTM. In cases where neck laxity is the sole concern, a Signature Deep Neck LiftTM is appropriate.

The second situation is when clients have full necks caused by excess fat, muscular, or glandular tissue. For these clients, the Signature Deep Neck Lift focuses on reducing tissue of the neck that causes the fullness. These tissues include excess fat and prominent muscular or glandular tissue, including the digastric muscles and submandibular glands.

Not All Neck Lifts Are Equal: Precision Matters

Various techniques for neck lifting exist. Dr. Paul Denton developed the Precision Neck LiftTM after extensive training and experience in Deep Plane Neck Lifting techniques. This personalized approach targets all layers of the neck to achieve optimal contour improvements in the neck and jawline.

Performing Precision Neck LiftTM: Artistry in Action

Performed through incisions under the chin and behind the ear, Precision LiftTM accesses the deep plane of the neck, to reduce a combination of excess fat, glands, or muscles. In some cases, liposuction of the neck may be combined with the procedure.

Combining Procedures for Comprehensive Transformation

Precision Neck LiftTM seamlessly integrates with other procedures like facial fat transfer, eyelid surgery, chin implants, and buccal fat pad reduction for an all-encompassing transformation.

How long is the recovery from a Signature Deep Neck Lift?

You can expect bruising and swelling after Precision Neck LiftTM lasting 2 to 4 weeks. Optimal results may take 6 to 9 months to appear fully.

What is the ideal age to undergo a Precision Neck Lift™?

Unlike facelift surgery, which is primarily performed for age-related changes, individuals may lack a distinct neck and jawline even at a young age due to genetic influences. Consequently, Deep Neck Lifts may be performed at a younger age to address these genetic factors.

Does everyone with a heavy neck require a Precision Lift™?

Not everyone with fullness of the neck requires a Precision Neck Lift™. Some clients may only require liposuction of the neck to improve the contour. If there is no significant fat in the deep plane of the neck, or when the glands and muscles are not enlarged, a Precision Neck Lift™ may not be necessary.

Am I a good candidate for a Signature Deep Neck Lift?

During your consultation, Dr. Denton and his experienced team will carefully assess your concerns and evaluate your face and neck. Based on this evaluation, we can guide you towards the ideal procedure to achieve your goals.
