Dermal filler appointments typically take 20-40 minutes, depending on the number of areas treated.

The healing varies between individuals, as well as what areas of the face or body are treated. Some areas, like lips, are more prone to bruising and swelling. The resolution of swelling is typically 2-5 days and if bruising occurs, it lasts 7-10 days. You can resume physical activity 24 hours after the treatment.

The longevity of dermal fillers varies depending on several factors, including the area treated, age, natural metabolism, and lifestyle factors. The average duration is between 6 months and 2 years. Notably, more filler is required if you have never had filler in the treated area before. Fortunately, once a baseline amount of filler is placed, the future need for treatments decreases significantly. For example, the under eye area typically requires 2-3 treatments over 1-2 years. Thereafter our clients often don’t require additional treatments for many years.
