Botox and Dysport

Rediscover youth and vitality with our advanced Neuromodulator treatments

What are Neuromodulators?

Botox and Dysport, among others, are collectively known as neuromodulators. They exert their effect by temporarily reducing the signal between nerves and muscles. This gentle process relaxes and softens facial muscles, diminishing wrinkles, frown lines, and crow’s feet. The effects typically last 3 to 4 months, offering a refreshed and rejuvenated look.

What's the difference between BOTOX© and Dysport©?

There's little difference between both solutions, as the most important ingredient is botulinum toxin type A. Both BOTOX© and Dysport© work by blocking signals from nerves to targeted facial muscles, causing them to relax and smooth out wrinkles caused by expressions. However, some patients may respond better to one over the other. The best step is to have a conversation with our expert injectors to see what will be the best treatment for you!

How long is the healing?

You may experience some minor redness, swelling, bruising or tenderness at the injection sites. This is usually very mild and resolves within a few hours. Avoid strenuous activity and rubbing or massaging the injection sites for the first 24 hours, as this can potentially spread the product and affect the results.

Is the procedure painful?

Most patients find the treatment to have minimal or no discomfort at all. The treatment itself is quick and we can offer options to alleviate discomfort if patients feel nervous.

What results can I expect from neuromodulators?

You'll notice results from neuromodulators in 1-2 weeks post injection. Neuromodulators soften lines such as the forehead, frown lines and crows feet - providing a more relaxed and youthful appearance while preserving natural expressions. The results of neuromodulators typically last 3-4 months.

How often should I get neuromodulators?

On average, neuromodulators like BOTOX® and Dysport® last 3 to 4 months, with the strongest effect in the first two months. Regular maintenance treatments yield a cumulative smoothing effect.

Is this treatment suitable for everyone?

Neuromodulators are not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or those with a neuromuscular disorder. Our skilled injectors will conduct a consultation to assess eligibility.
