LipLift-3DTM begins with meticulous measurements and markings of the upper lip, determining the necessary degree of lift. The unique features of the lip are considered, including the natural shape and which areas need the most lift. The procedure involves a wide release of the lip tissues, followed by tightening of both the deep and superficial layers. Classically, the shape of the excess skin to be reduced resembles a bullhorn, although this varies between individuals.

Patients may experience swelling and bruising lasting 1-2 weeks after lip lift surgery. The sutures are removed 5-7 days after the procedure and physical activity can be resumed after one week.

Despite providing a beautiful refresh of the lips, Lip Lift surgery provides limited lifting of the corners of the lips. The heaviness in that area is due to cheek descent and additional procedures like a mid-face lift, facelift, or vermilion lip lift may be necessary to achieve an optimal improvement.

LipLift-3D™ can be combined with other facial cosmetic surgeries, such as a brow lift, facelift, or eyelid surgery, for a more comprehensive rejuvenation.
