The number of treatments does depend on your desired goals. We have patients that saw significant results after one treatment, while others may need a series of CoolSculpting© treatments. CoolSculpting© is a non-invasive procedure with minimal downtime. You may experience some redness, swelling, bruising, or numbness in the treated area, which usually resolves within a few days to a week. Patients can resume normal activities immediately following the treatment if they're comfortable to do so.

During the procedure, our expert technician will place a specialized applicator on the target area. You might feel a pulling or pinching sensation for a few minutes as the fat cells are gently drawn into the applicator and the cooling process begins. This sensation usually subsides as the area numbs.

Once comfortable, you can relax and use this time to your advantage! Many patients enjoy catching up on emails, reading a book, watching shows on their tablets, or even working on their laptops during the treatment. The treatment typically lasts 30-60 minutes per applicator, depending on the area being treated.

For most clients, there is no downtime after Coolsculpting®. Regular activities can be resumed immediately after each treatment session.

Ideal candidates are close to their target weight and have stubborn fat pockets that are resistant to diet and exercise. Ideal candidates should also have realistic expectations. While it can be an effective fat reduction treatment, it may not produce the same dramatic results as surgical procedures. Eligibility is determined on a case-by-base basis and our expert technicians can guide you and assess eligibility through a consultation.

Many patients have described the procedure as comfortable and well-tolerated. During the treatment, you’ll feel sensations such as intense cold, tingling, and pressure but these effects will subside as the treated area starts to numb. Please note that you should not continue with the CoolSculpting® procedure if you suffer from cryoglobulinemia, paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria or cold agglutinin disease.

CoolSculpting® is a FDA and Health Canada-approved procedure for non-invasive fat reduction. It has a long track record of safety and worldwide there have been more than 2 million procedures performed. Potential side effects are usually mild and temporary, such as temporary numbness, redness, swelling, or bruising.
