PRP & PRF Therapy in Vancouver, BC
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) or "EZ Gel" are treatments made from your own blood. After a quick blood draw, the sample is spun in a centrifuge to separate out the parts that contain growth factors. These are then placed into areas like the under eyes, skin, or scalp to support healthier tissue.
Concerns
Dull and Dehydrated Skin
Fine Line & Wrinkles
Volume Loss
Treatment Time
30-45 minutes
Downtime
Mild swelling or tenderness for 1–3 days; minimal overall downtime.
How It Works
Once applied or injected, PRP or PRF stimulates collagen production, improves circulation, and enhances tissue repair at a cellular level. Over time, this leads to healthier skin, improved tone and texture, and natural-looking rejuvenation. PRP / PRF can be used on its own or combined with other treatments to enhance results.
Consultation & Planning
Depending on the treatment area and concern, most patients benefit from a series of 1–3 treatments, spaced 4–6 weeks apart.

What are PRP and PRF actually doing in the body?
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) use concentrated components of your own blood to stimulate tissue repair and collagen production. Platelets release growth factors that signal healing, regeneration, and improved skin quality — not volume or structural change.
What is the difference between PRP and PRF?
PRP is a liquid concentrate that releases growth factors quickly, making it ideal for overall skin rejuvenation. PRF is processed more slowly and forms a fibrin matrix that releases growth factors over a longer period, making it better suited for delicate areas like under the eyes.
Why is PRF often preferred under the eyes?
PRF has a thicker consistency and slower growth factor release, providing subtle tissue support and improved skin quality without the risk of swelling or overcorrection associated with fillers in this area.
If PRP/PRF doesn’t add volume, why do some people look “plumper”?
Improved hydration, circulation, and collagen density can temporarily enhance fullness. This is tissue quality improvement, not added volume.
Why do results from PRP and PRF take weeks or months to appear?
PRP and PRF rely on biological regeneration, which takes time. Collagen remodeling and tissue repair occur gradually, not instantly.
How do PRP and PRF differ from fillers and neuromodulators?
Fillers add volume; neuromodulators reduce muscle movement. PRP/PRF improve tissue health and collagen function. They address how skin behaves, not how it’s positioned.
Why does PRP sometimes cause more swelling than expected?
PRP is liquid and can attract fluid temporarily. Swelling reflects inflammation and healing, not an adverse reaction.
Why do results fade over time?
PRP/PRF stimulate regeneration but do not stop aging. Maintenance treatments help sustain improvements.
