Treatment Time

Downtime
Redness for 24–48 hours; mild flaking for a few days.
How It Works
The peel solution penetrates the skin to dissolve dead skin cells and stimulate renewal. As the skin sheds and regenerates, you’ll notice improved brightness, smoother texture, and a more even skin tone over time.
Consultation & Planning
Many patients benefit from a series of 3–6 treatments, spaced 3–4 weeks apart, depending on the depth of peel and desired results.

What is a medical-grade chemical peel actually doing to my skin?
A medical chemical peel accelerates controlled skin renewal by exfoliating damaged outer layers. This improves pigment, texture, acne, and early signs of aging by encouraging healthier cell turnover — not by “burning” the skin.
Do I actually need to see visible peeling for the treatment to have worked?
Not at all and this surprises most people. When peels are performed regularly, the skin gets used to the process and begins to rejuvenate itself like younger skin. To be sure that the body doesn't react to this deep exfoliation as it would to trauma, which can lead to pigment changes, exfoliation must be introduced gradually, giving the skin time to adjust. The real work happens at a cellular level, whether or not you see flaking. Visible peeling is simply a side effect of depth, not a measure of effectiveness.
How is a professional chemical peel different from the exfoliating acids I use at home?
Chemical peels are often made up of the same ingredients used in home skincare formulas to exfoliate but in much higher percentages and within formulas that pack a punch. At-home acids are intentionally kept at low concentrations for safe, unsupervised daily use. A professional peel delivers a controlled, targeted dose that accelerates results beyond what daily skincare can achieve on its own. Think of it as the difference between a daily walk and a structured training session — both matter, but they do different things.
Are chemical peels safe for sensitive skin?
Yes — when properly selected. Not all peels are aggressive. Medical-grade peels can be customized for sensitive or reactive skin.
How many sessions will I need?
A single chemical peel can provide the immediate effect of bright and radiant skin. However, treating textural issues, fine lines, and inflamed acne could take multiple treatments. Most patients see the best results after a series of 4–6 sessions spaced around one month apart.

At 65 my face could not keep up with my energy, Dr. Denton and his amazing staff guided me through a facelift. The procedure was seamless, my recovery swift.
The results were subtle. In fact I often have to show my ID to prove that I am a senior. I love and appreciate the results!
